S.O.L.A.R.®'s teacher and founder is Martin Lass.
Martin is US-born (1958), but has lived in Australia most of his life. He currently lives on Australia's east coast, south of Brisbane, with his wife of the last 30 years. Together they have three children in their mid to late twenties.
He is a renowned violinist and composer and continues to perform concerts around the world.

Llewellyn Worldwide recently published his definitive book, "Chiron - Healing Body and Soul" (2005).
Martin studied for 10 years in a Fourth Way esoteric school in Sydney, which was under the direction of Mr. George M. Adie, who was a pupil of both G. I. Gurdjieff and P. D. Ouspensky. He then studied for another 10 years in The Concourse of Wisdom School of Philosophy and Healing under the direction of Dr. John F. Demartini—a school based in Houston TX that has a direct lineage to the Egyptian Mystery schools.
Martin founded S.O.L.A.R.® in December 2005 as an online school of conscious and intentional living. In the future, though, he envisages having centers around the world, providing face-to-face meetings, activities, and tuition.
